Famous rapper Kanye West seems to love doing things harder, better, faster, stronger and that includes headaches! The 37-year-old was rushed to a hospital on Wednesday, and ushered through the back entrance of the emergency ward of Epworth hospital in Melbourne, at 2pm.
There were some rumors of him having a seizure, but an insider revealed that the “Goldigger” rapper is fine and that he didn’t have a major health scare or seizure. Apparently, Kanye just suffered a migraine and went to the hospital simply as a precaution. He got an MRI, just to be on the safe side. The insider added that “everyone was panicking and the people in the waiting and consulting rooms were moved out of there.”
The woman’s son, Conor from Northcore, explained: “A nurse explained after why the appointment had been delayed.”
Apparently, the nurse asked Conor whether he’d seen the guy leaving with the blanket over his head and said to him that it was, in fact, the international superstar. He also said that Kanye’s visit to the hospital was relatively low-key, but everyone was a “little giddy.”
Epworth hospital issued a very anodyne and vague statement, regarding the alleged unexpected visit: “Yesterday afternoon, approximately 50 patients presented to Epworth Emergency. They were all treated with respect and in accordance with the severity of their symptoms – which we do not discuss publicly.”
The rapper’s representatives refused to comment on his condition, but they did say that the show will go on: “Kanye went on stage last night in Melbourne as scheduled.”
If we didn’t know Kanye, we would think that his headache was the reason of his grumpiness in Melbourne, during the show. He stopped the show (as usual) to express his annoyance at the crowd for sitting down. “I can’t go on with this song if there’s people in here sitting down unless y’all sitting down because y’all handicapped. Unless y’all have handicapped parking?” Well, that’s a way to fire up your crowd.
Kanye’s family, wife Kim Kardashian West and daughter North, are with him on his Australian tour.
