Oh, the life of the rich and famous. Vacationing like a celebrity has always been a dream of many people, but Leonardo DiCaprio just took things to a whole new level.
According to the New York Times, the 40-year-old actor thinks the place is like “heaven on earth”.
DiCaprio went on to add, “And almost immediately, I found this opportunity to purchase an island there.”
The actor is a known environmentalist and isn’t planning on keeping the island just for himself. On the contrary, DiCaprio will make sure that development and “the structure not only enhance and improve the environment, but [are] a model for the future”.
The Hollywood A-lister would like to restore the island, “creating conservation areas where [they] could hold research conferences, and regenerating the entire ecosystem to bring it back to its original form and beyond”.
The 104-acre island of Blackadore Caye is home to 68 guest villas while the price for vacationing like DiCaprio has not yet been revealed.
