Leo DiCaprio Dishes On His Meeting With The Pope

Famed Hollywood A-lister and one of the most notorious bachelors of the celebrity kingdom, Leonardo DiCaprio, opened up about his recent meeting with the Pope, during the 2016 SAG awards.

The famous actor revealed that he was “inspired” by speaking to the popular religious leader. According to the Hollywood hunk, both he and Pope Francis share the same thoughts when it comes to the environment.

“I think he wrote this encyclical, which is one of the most important things in the climate change history, so to speak,” the perpetually Oscar-nominated actor said, “Basically, spreading the gospel that we should care about the planet we live in. It’s a sin to destroy our planet. … He’s been inspiring and revolutionary to come out and be outspoken about the issue of climate change and endorse the scientific community.”

The 41-year-old actor has always been pretty vocal about environmental issues. He is currently working on a documentary, which will, “open viewers’ eyes to the reality of climate change.”

DiCaprio won his very first SAG award for Outstanding Performance by a Male Actor in a Leading role for his work on The Revenant.
