It’s official! Kris Jenner has filed for divorce from Olympian Bruce Jenner. The Kardashian matriarch filed the papers in Los Angeles Superior Court on Monday.
Kris and Bruce had been married for more than 22 years when they announced on their reality show last October that they were separated and living apart. The infamous momager listed the date of separation as June 1, 2013, and is asking for joint physical and legal custody of the younger of their two children together, the 17-year-old Kylie.
She also wants to keep her jewelry and assets from the date of separation, with their other property to be divvied up later. They did not have a prenuptial agreement.
“We are living separately and we are much happier this way. But we will always have much love and respect for each other. Even though we are separated, we will always remain best friends and, as always, our family will remain our number one priority,” the reality star said last October.
This was, however, not the story they have been telling from the start. Soon after the separation news got wings, the couple said they had no plans to divorce. The couple celebrated their 23rd wedding anniversary in April this year and Kris shared on social media an old photo of them, with a caption: “Happy Anniversary to one of the most amazing men I know!!! I love you, Wow 23 years!!!!! #love #weareofficiallyvintage”
Kris Jenner, the 58-year-old “Keeping Up With The Kardashians” star and ex-wife of the late O.J. Simpson attorney Robert Kardashian, is a manager for her three eldest daughters, Kourtney Kardashian, Kim Kardashian West and Khloe Kardashian, and son Rob Kardashian. She and Bruce Jenner married in 1991, one month after she finalized her divorce from the famous lawyer.
The 64-year-old Bruce and his first wife of nine years Chrystie Crownover have a son and daughter, Burt and Casey. After splitting with Chrystie, he married Linda Thompson (married for two years), with whom he had two sons, Brandon and Sam (Brody), who have appeared on reality show.
