The famous comedian Joan Rivers remains on life support after a near-fatal heart and lung failure. Her daughter, Melissa Rivers, issued a statement that shed little new light on the situation, including the medical options going forward as the legendary Rivers battles to stay alive.
“On behalf of my mother and our family, we are extremely grateful for all the love and support we have received. At this time, she does remain on life support. The 81-year-old Joan remains surrounded by family and friends in her room at Mount Sinai Hospital.
Several sources revealed that if Rivers pulls through, she’s in for a rehab process that could take months or even years. The process would keep her out of the public eye.
