Eminem The Samaritan

January 14, 2015

Despite being known as the bad boy of the music world, Marshall Mathers, a.k.a. Eminem, sometimes tends to show us his good side.

As it happens, one of his fans from Michigan is 17-year-old Gage Garmo, and unfortunately, he was diagnosed with bone cancer with one week life expectancy. So Eminem teamed-up with Rainbow Connection and went to visit his terminally ill fan.

According to The Detroit Free Press, the 42-year-old rapper showed up in Garmo’s Rochester Hills, Mich., living room where they hung out and talked about their mutual love of hip-hop and football.

As Rainbow Connection’s representative Ingrid Todt said: “Gage sat up with a grin on his face. His family hadn’t seen their son do that in such a long time.”

Rainbow Connection is an organization that grants wishes to Michigan children with life-threatening illnesses. Eminem’s visit was organized within 48 hours of Garmo expressing his wish.

Garmo’s parents and little sister called the visit “very special and very quiet at the same time,” Todt said. “It was one of the most amazing things I’ve ever seen. The stars aligned, and Gage’s wish came true.”

We wish all the best to Garmo, and we are glad to see someone popular like Eminem actually caring about ordinary people and their problems.
