It was confirmed that a woman in her forties was arrested, after an Aer Lingus plane landed at 5.30am. The former “cranberry” was taken from the airport to Shannon Garda station, where she can be detained for 24 hours under section four of the Criminal Justice Act and can be questioned on allegations of assault.
Apparently, the hostess’ foot was fractured after O’Riordan stamped on it during the incident.
The hostess was taken to the Mid-West Regional Hospital in Limerick for assessment and treatment.
It was also alleged that the singer headbutted and spat at the arresting officer. The officer did not require hospital care. Dolores’ agents did not respond to any of the comments.
The “Zombie” singer is originally from Limerick. She is married with three children and lives in Dublin.
