Cristiano Ronaldo Donates 7.8 Million Dollars To Help Nepal

May 13, 2015

The soccer star, Cristiano Ronaldo, has proven yet again that it is not only his foot that is golden, but also his heart.

One of the most talented and generous soccer players in the world has recently donated £5million (about $7.8million) to the global charity dubbed “Save The Children” which is currently working to relief earthquake efforts in Nepal.

French magazine So Foot reveals that Ronaldo symbolically gave away exactly €7million as he wears the number 7 shirt for his club Real Madrid, as well as his home country team Portugal, while also prompting his 100 million Facebook followers to support the charity themselves.

No Stranger to Charity

The Portuguese striker regularly exposes his heart of gold. Last year, he helped raising €60,000 to pay for an operation for a ten-month-old baby boy who had cortical dysplasia. He donated his shirt and boots, but also paid for the operation itself.

Cristiano, who also works with Unicef and World Vision, has donated millions to help children in Gaza, whereas back in 2004, he flew to Indonesia to provide help tsunami victims as he had seen a survivor there wearing his jersey.

Good guy Cristiano.
