Roswell Police Chief Rusty Grant gave a statement in which he revealed that the case of Bobbi Kristina Brown is being treated as a criminal investigation: “I can confirm that we have a criminal investigation ongoing. From the beginning it has always been a criminal investigation.”
The 21-year-old was first discovered by her friend Max Lomas, who called 911 while her longtime boyfriend Nick Gordon tried to revive her at home and was performing CPR on Bobbi when paramedics arrived.
Reportedly, while both Brown and Houston families have rushed to Bobbi’s bedside at Emory, Gordon is still under investigation due to unexplained injuries found on Bobbi Kristina’s body.
The daughter of the late RNB diva was taken to North Fulton Hospital in Roswell, and was moved on Monday to Emory University Hospital in Atlanta. She has now remained in a medically induced coma for 11 days since January 31st. Details on her current condition are still unknown.
Her family released a statement on Tuesday in which they expressed gratitude to fans for their prayers and well-wishes: “We support the candlelight vigil for Bobbi Kristina. The Brown family is amazed by the love and support from all that attended.” The statement was read by Bobby Brown’s lawyer Christopher Brown. Bobby Brown added a personal touch to the statement, saying: “We continue to request privacy in this matter. We thank everyone that supported the vigil for Bobbi Kristina. God is hearing our prayers.”
The attorney also addressed false reports about Bobbi’s situation, especially the one which alleged that Bobbi would be taken off life support on the third anniversary of her mother’s death on Wednesday, February 11th. It was said that “there is no truth to it at all.”
