Biography
Actress, model, and international singer Sophie Monk was born on December 14, 1979, in th United Kingdom in England and moved to Queensland, Australia, when she was very young.
Sophie has been performing since she was eight years-old and was trained in classical opera growing up.
Monk was a member of the female pop group Bardot. After Bardot disbanded, Sophie signed with Warner Music, where she released her debut solo album 'Calendar Girl,' which went gold in 2003.
Sophie then moved clear acros the country to Los Angeles in pusuit of an acting career, where she landed a role in the ABC mini-series "The Mystery of Natalie Wood," playing Marilyn Monroe.
She has also starred on the big-screen, in the comedy films "Date Movie," where she spoofs Paris Hilton's famous burger advertisement, and as David Hasselhoff's bimbo secretary in the comedy "Click." Sophie is linked to Benji Madden from the punk band Good Charlotte.
