Sonja Sohn is an American actress of African and Korean American heritage.
Before she was an actress, Sohn was a slam poet, having written lyrics and co-written the script for the film Slam.
She has had a starring role as Detective Shakima Greggs on HBO series The Wire since the first season. She has also guest starred on Cold Case as Toni Halstead, the love interest of starring character Nick Vera.
She is now living in Baltimore, Maryland with her husband, Adam Plack, and daughter, Sophia Wang, while her eldest daughter, Sakira Wang, lives in New York City.
