Jessica Stam was born on April 23, 1986 in Kincardine, Ontario. Jessica had six brothers and living with them on a Canadian farm. She attended St. Joseph's High School in Barrie, Ontario. Jessica was religious as her parents she participated for the congregation ceremony of the church and was also the member of church choir. She had a dream to become a dentist, but she discovered herself with the renowned model.

Jessica gets the opportunity when she was captured by Michele Miller when she hanging out, and he offered her to join the modeling industry, it was in happened in 2002. She got the international recognition when she met Steven Meisel, a famous photographer; he captured Madonna for the 1992 book Sex. Jessica and photographer Miesel work together for the shoots of Prada, Versace and both American and Italian Vogue. She also started working for the advertisements for Marc Jacobs and he used her name on a fashionable bag as Stam Bag

Jessica also did the short movie Agent Orange which was directed by Tony Scott in 2004. Her other work in commercial was Atsuro, Tayama, Miu Miu, Cerruti Jeans, Banila B and Holt Renfrew. During the Paris, Milan and New York Fashion Week's Ready to Wear for Spring 2006, Stam walked a combine total of 60 shows. Same year she also dressed up for Victoria's Secret.

Jessica at the age of sixteen won the Los Angeles Model Look Search in 2002. She currently stands at number 5 on the Top 50 Models rating.
