Jennifer Jane Saunders was born in 1958 on July 6th. She is English and she has been working as an actress and a comedian for past many years. She also is a comedy script writer. As a comedian she has mostly worked with one of her very close partners whose name is Dawn French. They both came form the same school of dram and thus they were trained in a very similar manner. Both of the artists are immensely talented and as a result both of them were able to make their mark in the show which was aired by the name of French and Saunders. This show has been the most popular one which any one of these two have performed in. Both have worked in other plays and series as well but this is the one which has done the best. She has also worked in Absolutely Fabulous.


She belonged to Lincolnshire and got her education in the field of acting from London from Central School of Speech and Drama. French was her school mate. They never got along well when they were studying. Only after completing their degrees form the school when they performed together they developed this good working relationship which was beneficial for both of them.

Jennifer Saunders was initially not very interested in acting. She got admission in her school because her mother forced her to. Only once she started working in the field she realized that this is the work she enjoys.

There are two series in which she is currently working. One is with the name of Jam and Jerusalem which is already on air, while the other one is expected to be on air during the year 2007. Jennifer Saunders is an extremely talented actress who has proved her mettle time and again.
