Biography
Jelena Dokic was born on 12th April, 1983, in Osijek, Croatia, which was at that time Yugoslavia. She is the eldest child of Damir and Ljiljana Dokic. Though they were in Serbia, later they migrated to Australia, near Fairfield, where Jelena also attended the Fairfield High School. She is a female tennis player with a rather uneven record.

Jelena Dikic is not married to date. However, she was known to be dating Enrique Bernoldi a formula one driver. Later she was known to date Tin Bikic, brother of her coach, whom she has employed in later stages.
Professional Life of Jelena Dokic
Jelena Dokic has a successful start in tennis. She won her US Singles Girls' Championship in 1998. The same year she also won French Open Doubles Championship with Kim Clijsters, and was Junior No.1 at the end of the season.
Jelena Dokic made most sensational debut in Wimbeldon by defeating the then No.1 Martina Hingis in the first round. In the year 1999 she jumped 298 places and finished 43 in the world rankings. In Summer Olympics of the year 2000 she also won bronze medal after losing to Monica Seles at this time she was ranked No. 26.
Later, however Jelena Dokic couldnot maintain what she had achieved, she replaced her coach, her father with Borna Bikic and later Nikola Pilic, her ratings at the game suffered and she also had to fight with several injuries.
In the year 2006 she gained a wild card entry to Wimbledon and was defeated in the first qualifying round. With her new coach Nikola Pilic she was starting to win tournaments again, however she later had to pull out of another tournament because of an injury.
She also denied playing in the Australian Open as a wild card entry since she could not afford to travel to Australia for a small sum of prize money. It is known that she might play in the qualifying rounds in Germany for $25000 tournament.
During her career she has played for Australia as well as Yugolavia/ Serbia and Montenegro.
