John Ellis or "Jeb" Bush was born on February 11, 1953 is better known as the younger brother of President George W Bush. He is a Republican, and became the 43rd Governor of Florida, United States, and he was the only Republican who was re-elected to that office.

Jeb Bush was born in Midland, Texas, where his father used to run an oil drilling company. As a child, he enjoyed playing baseball and tennis and when he was in his eight grade, his father was elected to the United States House of Representatives and the family moved to Washington, D.C.
He went to a private boarding school in Massachusetts, and made the honor roll in his first semester. He also taught for some time and attended the University of Texas at Austin, where he graduated with a Bachelor's degree in Latin American Studies in 1973, taking only two and a half years to complete his work, and obtaining generally excellent grades.
After completing his graduation, he married Columba Gallo, on February 23, 1974 and have three children - George P., John E. "Jeb", Jr., and Noelle.

Jeb Bush started his career as an entry level position in the international division of Texas Commerce Bank. In due course of time, he worked for the bank's executive program.
In 1980, he agreed to campaign for his father's campaign for the Republican presidential nomination. That fall, George H.W. Bush was elected Vice President of the United States, and won reelection in 1984.
Jeb Bush also met with huge success in real estate business and was involved in many different entrepreneurial pursuits, including working for a mobile phone company, oil pipeline company and also bought a shoe company.
Civic activities
Jeb Bush lost the 1994 election for Governor of Florida against Lawton Chiles, by a small margin and after that he was extensively involved with non-profit organization and founded many hospitals and homeless homes for the aged.
Political career
Jeb Bush started his political career as the Chairman of the Dade County Republican Party and was appointed Bush as Florida's Secretary of Commerce. In 1998, Bush defeated Democratic opponent Lt. Governor Buddy MacKay to become Governor of Florida. He was reelected for the same post and became the first republican to hold the post for the second time.
