Biography
Jay Ferguson Mohr, brought up in Verona, New Jersey, on 23 August, 1970. Completed his graduation in High School in 1988. An Actor, a Comedian and TV host in profession. His dream was to become a comedian. In his early days before starting his career he gained popularity as a comedian, than he stepped into television and movies. In 1990, he did 10 national comedy shows. He made remarkable impression for his hilarious and uncanny performances, for the character Christopher Walken in "Christopher Walken's Psychic Hotline", which was aired on Saturday Night Live in 1992.
Jay screened for the first time on television on NBC's Saturday Night Live for Prime Time Players in 1992. Some of his other shows were Local Heroes and The Jeff Foxworthy Show. Jay also hosted in MTV Network's Lip Service. He made his debut in the movie in 1995, The Barefoot Executive. But he really got the acknowledgement, for playing the bad guy in Jerry Maguire (1995), Tom Cruise was doing the lead for the movie. Jay took up the lead with two high-profile movies 200 Cigarettes and Go in 1999, ultimately both were disappointing. Than he hosted for talk-show on ESPN which was titled Mohr Sports in April 2002. In 2003 Jay hosted for another TV reality show NBC's Last Comic Standing, he was also the executive producer for the show, the series came out to the funniest stand-up comedian in US. His performance in the sex-comedy movie Seeing Other People was overwhelming.
Jay spent most of his time in 2004 completing and promoting his first book, which named "Gasping For Airtime". Jay won the Espy Award for the MTV Network's Lip Service. Jay nominated for Emmy Awards for his work on the show NBC's Saturday Night Live
