Biography
Born on June 26th, 1980, in Los Angeles, California, USA. Jason was the son of Jack Schwartzman, well known producer and Talia Shire, an actress. He completed his graduation from Windward School, Los Angeles, in 1998. His grandfather, Carmine Coppola was an Oscar-winning composer. Jason was young talented actor, achieved what he wants, early in his age, without any struggles. He made his own fame and name without his father's support, even though both belong to same profession. Nicolas Cage was his cousin and Francis Ford Coppola was his uncle, both the winner of Academy Awards.
For Jason, acting was not the right place to find a career, he has formed up a band in 1994 which was called as Phantom Planet, and he was a drummer and lyricist for the band. With the familial backup, bands was signed up with Greffen Records and launch their debut album, named "Phantom Planet Is Missing" (1998). Soon after that, he was signed up by Wes Anderson for a lead in "Rushmore" a comedy movie where he was playing the character of Max Fisher. His acting was of top class, his outstanding powerful screen performance showed that he is choked up with the immense talent. Than Jason realized to concentrate on acting. His comic role shown that he has perfect timing of delivery. Well back in 1993, Jason was auditioned for the role in Sleepless in Seattle, where he was supposed to play Tom Hank's son. He did "C.Q" in 2001 which was Roman Coppola's debut as a director. In 2002, Jason did "Simone", co starred Al Pacino.
Jason, in 1997 appeared for the family video "It's All About The Benjamins" which was made by Puff Daddy. His band Phantom Planet were called up as a guests in ABC sitcom "Sabrina, the Teenage Witch" in 1998. His movie "C.Q" was shown at Cannes Film Festival in 2001.
