Biography
Born in Malvern, Melbourne on June 1, 1968. Jason Sean Donovan achieved fame in both acting and singing. He has set outstanding records for his career in singing. He studied in De La Salle College, Malvern. His father Terence Donovan, was also a renowned Australian actor, who was seen in a popular serial Division 4, a police series. Jason stepped into acting from the series Neighbours. His debut film as an actor was Blood Oath (1990).
In 1988, Jason's duet song "Especially For You" with Kylie minogue became the 4th highest selling in UK. While the release of his solo album "Ten Good Reasons" (1989), Jason became the biggest pop-star of the generation in UK, it was the highest selling album in UK more than 1.5 million copies were sold. He bagged 17 singles hit in United Kingdom between 1988 and 1993. Well his third and last solo album "All Around The World" did not released, but the track Any dream will do from the album appreciated with 3rd UK#1 chart. In 1992, Jason filed a complaint to the magazine The Face in 1992 who published that Jason is a Gay, Jason won the case and received the damages but he gave back the amount.
Jason's career was affected a lot from the drug addiction. In 1999, he admitted that he was indulging cocaine. Than the bad times also passed very soon. Jason also lent his voice to Play Station 2 video game console. In 2006 Jason won 200,000 pound from the ITV show I'm A Celebrity, Get Me Out Of Here! He stood 3rd place after Matt Willis and Myleene Klass. He donated the amount to Oxford's Children Hospital Campaign.
