Jane Greer was an actress who appeared in numerous Hollywood movies over several decades. While she continued to play in film roles as late as 1996, Jane Greer was most famous during the forties and fifties. Her best known role was in the 1947 film "Out of the Past", a film noir where a man is pursued by a femme fatale from an earlier part of his life.
Jane Greer was born in Washington D.C. in the year 1924. Her birthday is the ninth of September. In her teenage years, Jane Greer found work as a fashion model. She was discovered by Howard Hughes in 1942, who saw her modeling on the Life Magazine cover. During the forties, Jane Greer starred in many Radio Keith Orpheum produced movies such as "They Won't Believe Me", "The Falcon's Alibi", "Dick Tracy" and "Out of the Past". "Out of the Past" is possibly her most famous role, where she played a girl who tracks down a man who is trying to put his previous life behind him. Not only did she star in this film, she appeared in a 1984 remake called "Against All Odds" and in a Saturday Night Live spoof of the movie.
