Jane Fonda Gossip

Biography
Jane Fonda is a famous actress and former model with a long Hollywood career. She is well known for her highly successful line of exercise videos made in the mid eighties and for her current political activism, which sometimes overshadows her earlier career.
Jane Fonda was born in New York City in the year 1937. Her birthday is the twenty first of December. Her mother was Frances Ford Seymour, a socialite who committed suicide when Jane Fonda was twelve. Jane Fonda's father was the famous actor Henry Fonda. When Jane Fonda was in her late teens she started acting on the stage, making her first appearance in "The Country Girl" with her father for charity when she was seventeen. That performance caused her to studying acting with drama teacher Lee Strasberg after her graduation from Vassar College.
In the sixties, Jane Fonda appeared in many film roles (roughly two a year). She received a Golden Globe Award for Most Promising Newcomer when she acted in "A Walk on the Wild Side" in the part of a prostitute who the main character attempts to save. That decade she also appeared in "Cat Ballou" (which had five Academy Award nominations that year), "Any Wednesday", "Barefoot in the Park", "They Shoot Horses, Don't They?" and "Barbarella". By the early seventies Jane Fonda had been established as a sex symbol and accomplished dramatic actress. She won her first Academy Award for the film "Klute" in 1971, but had trouble finding further successes during the seventies. Around this time, Jane Fonda became politically active, speaking publicly against the Vietnam War and in favor of the Black Panthers.
During the eighties, Jane Fonda started producing exercise videos, which were largely responsible for the boom in popularity of the VCR and sold millions of copies, making Jane Fonda famous in a new way all over again. Since the nineties, Jane Fonda has been retired from film acting, but returned in 2005 with a hit movie called "Monster-in-Law" as the possible mother-in-law of Jennifer Lopez.
As of early 2007 Jane Fonda has recently released an autobiography called "My Life So Far". She is currently a Christian and a Feminist, and is politically active again in support of the Democratic Party.
