Biography
James Marsters is an actor and musician. His most famous role is as a television actor on the WB produced series "Buffy the Vampire Slayer" and "Angel".
James Marsters was born in Greenville, California in the year 1962. His birthday is the twentieth of August. He first became interested in acting in fourth grade, when he played the role of Eeyore in a grade school production of Winnie the Pooh. He continued to act in school plays throughout high school. James Marsters studied acting for four years between the Pacific Conservatory of the Performing Arts and the Julliard Drama School, after graduating from Davis High School. His first acting roles were in theatrical plays such as "The Tempest", "Teechers", Anouilh's "Antigone", and "Misalliance".
In the early nineties, James Marsters began finding acting roles on television. His first TV role was on the drama / comedy series "Northern Exposure" in 1992. He has since made a number of guest star appearances on television series including "Millennium", "Strange Frequency", "The Enforcers" and "Andromeda". However, James Marsters is best known for playing the vampire character Spike on the smash hit WB show "Buffy the Vampire Slayer". Joining the cast of "Buffy the Vampire Slayer" in 1997, James Marsters appeared in ninety seven episodes before the end of the show in 2003. He also appeared from 1999 to 2004 in the spin off show "Angel".
As of early 2007 James Marsters continues to work in television acting. He also seems to be making a greater effort to find film roles, with a recent appearance in the TV movie "Cool Money" and upcoming roles in the films "Shadow Puppets" and "P.S. I Love You". He has most recently been seen on TV between 2005 and 2006 as the villainous Professor Milton Fine on another high rated WB action drama series, "Smallville".
