James King Bio (Biography)
Biography
James King is another name for the supermodel Jaime King. She has used it in the past because of a name conflict with another model at an agency she worked for. As a result she has sometimes been called "The Model with a Man's Name".
James King was born in Omaha, Nebraska in the year 1979. Her birthday is the twenty third of April. Becoming interested in modeling at an early age, she was successful by the time she was fifteen years old. During her teenage years she appeared in dozens of fashion magazines including "Glamour", "Harper's Bazaar", "Allure", "Seventeen", "Mademoiselle", and "Vogue". By the end of the nineties, James King had appeared in dozens of advertising campaigns, for clients including "Armani Exchange", "Express Jeans", "Cesare Paciotti", "Revlon", "Coach", "Matsuda" and "Bebe".
Starting in 1999, James King has appeared in several Hollywood movies. She tends to pick high profile films that are going to be successful, though most of her roles are simplistic, based around her looks (and at least two of her roles haven't had lines at all). Films James King has acted in include "Blow", "Pearl Harbor", "Slackers", "Bulletproof Monk", "White Chicks" and "Cheaper by the Dozen 2". She has also appeared in an episode of popular prime time drama "The O.C.", and television series that include "The Class", "Kitchen Confidential", and "The Alibi". James King was also in the music video for the rock band Filter's most recent radio hit "Take a Picture".
As of early 2007 James King continues to work in the international fashion modeling industry, and to appear in high profile successful Hollywood films. One of her most recent roles has been in "Sin City", a Robert Rodriguez directed movie based on the world of Frank Miller's "Sin City" comic books. "Sin City 2" is expected to be released later this year. Recently she has been selected for the advertising campaign of Rocawear, a fashion label created in part by modern rapper Jay-Z, who chose her personally.
