Jaclyn Smith is an actress who has appeared in many made for TV movies and television series. She is best known for playing Kelly Garrett on the successful action series "Charlie's Angels", and was the only one of the "Angels" to be present for the entire run of the show. Many of the movies and miniseries she has appeared in have been highly rated, and she is one of the more recognizable actresses on American TV.
Jaclyn Smith was born in Houston, Texas in the year 1947. Her birthday is the twenty sixth of October. At the age of twenty nine she was cast into the role of Kelly Garrett on "Charlie's Angels", as one of a group of three female undercover operatives working for a mysterious employer at a detective agency. While the line-up of "Angels" changed several times over the course of the series, Jaclyn Smith was present for the full five year run until 1981. When "Charlie's Angels" first began, it had a gigantic impact on American pop culture and was featured in Time Magazine; also one of the biggest selling posters of all time is of Jaclyn Smith's co-star Farrah Fawcett-Majors in her role as one of the original Charlie's Angels.
From 1977, Jaclyn Smith appeared in many other made for TV movies and film projects including "The Users", "Jacqueline Bouvier Kennedy", "Rage of Angels", "Windmills of the Gods", "The Bourne Identity" (the 1988 TV movie adaptation, not the more recent Hollywood blockbuster film), "Florence Nightingale", "George Washington" and "Settle the Score".
As of early 2007 Jaclyn Smith continues to work in television. She has recently appeared in episodes of "The District" and "Hope & Faith". Jaclyn Smith also appeared in a cameo role as Kelly Garrett in the new Hollywood film adaptation of "Charlie's Angels", "Charlie's Angels: Full Throttle".
