Izabella Scorupco is an actress. She has appeared in various Hollywood films since the mid nineties and has had a film acting career for over fifteen years. She is best known to international audiences for appearing as Natalya Simonova, a Bond girl from the enormously popular James Bond movie "Goldeneye".
Izabella Scorupco was born in Bialystok, Poland in the year 1970. Her birthday is the fourth of June. When she was eight, she moved to Sweden with her mother. Growing up, she learned English and Swedish. As a teenager she was a fashion model. Her film acting career began in 1989 when she starred in the Swedish movie "Ingen kan alska som vi" after being spotted by the director, Staffan Hildebrand. She also pursued a music career during these early years, releasing the single "Shame, Shame, Shame" in 1992 which reached the upper parts of the music charts in several Germanic language speaking countries.
After appearing in various other local movies, Izabella Scorupco was selected in 1995 to play the Bond girl in "Goldeneye", being the first Polish born actress to do so. "Goldeneye" was a huge international success, cementing the image of Pierce Brosnan as one of the better actors to portray James Bond and opening doors for Izabella Scorupco to appear in Hollywood movies.
Izabella Scorupco has since appeared in several successful Hollywood films including "Vertical Limit", "Reign of Fire" and "Exorcist: The Beginning". She seems to find mainly action and thriller roles. "Vertical Limit", which made over two hundred million dollars worldwide, is a story of mountain climbers who face danger on the slopes of K2. "Reign of Fire" did under one hundred million worldwide, and involved the resurrection of medieval dragons on a modern world.
As of early 2007 Izabella Scorupco continues to appear in films. She has been married twice, once to hockey player Mariusz Czerkawski in the late nineties and recently to Jeffrey Raymond. She has two children, Julia and Jacob.
