Isla Fisher is an actress and author. She has appeared in several American comedies and is married to English comedian Sascha Baron Cohen (the man who plays Borat).

Isla Fisher was born Isla Lang Fisher in Muscat, Oman in the year 1976. Her birthday is the third of February. She grew up in Perth, Australia and is an Australian citizen. Growing up during the eighties, Isla Fisher became interesting in acting. She got her first professional acting work in Australian commercials when she was nine years old. Isla Fisher became known in Australia as a result of her appearances on soap operas such as "Paradise Beach" and "Home and Away" that she made throughout the early nineties. While working on the Australian drama "Home and Away", Isla Fisher began writing novels and was able to produce two best sellers, "Bewitched" and "Seduced by Fame" (her mother is a romance novelist).

Since the turn of the millennium, Isla Fisher has begun appearing in big budget Hollywood movies and has become better known in America. She played the part of Mary-Jane in the 2002 film "Scooby-Doo". Since then she has appeared in the critically acclaimed Hollywood comedy "I ? Huckabees". Isla Fisher has also appeared in the "Wedding Crashers", a 2005 comedy that did well at the box office. In recent years she has become married to Sascha Baron Cohen, the English comedian famous for inventing and performing the character of Borat. She lives between England and Los Angeles. She has also recently appeared in the films "London" and "Hot Rod".

As of early 2007 Isla Fisher continues to work as a Hollywood film actress. She has been repeatedly chosen to appear on FHM Magazine's list of the One Hundred Sexiest Women in the World (placing thirty fifth and twenty sixth in the past).
