Isabeli Fontana is a supermodel. She became internationally famous after becoming the youngest model ever to appear in the Victoria's Secret catalog at the age of sixteen, and has been photographed for many fashion catalogs and advertising campaigns. She has also appeared in the Sports Illustrated Swimsuit Issue. Isabeli Fontana is one of several international supermodels to come out of Brazil in the late nineties, comparable to Gisele Bundchen, Adriana Lima and Ana Claudia Michels. She is five feet, ten inches tall and weighs one hundred and sixteen pounds. She has brown hair and blue eyes.
Isabeli Fontana was born Isabeli Bergossi Fontana in Curitiba, Brazil in the year 1983. Her birthday is the fourth of July. At the age of thirteen, Isabeli Fontana reached the finals in the Elite Model Look competition. When she was sixteen in 1999 she started professional modeling in Italy; that same year Isabeli Fontana was photographed for the American fashion catalog "Victoria's Secret", being the first model less than twenty one years old to appear in that catalog. The controversy over the bending of the "Victoria's Secret" 21-or-older rule made Isabeli Fontana instantly famous in the international fashion community (ironically, while some people said she was too young to model at sixteen, others told her that she looked too old when she was seventeen). She then appeared in ads for many of the world's top fashion labels including "bebe", "Versace", "Valentino" and "Ralph Lauren". She also appeared in international fashion magazines like "Vogue", "Marie Claire" and "Elle". In 2002 and 2003, Isabeli Fontana appeared in the Sports Illustrated Swimsuit Issue.
As of early 2007 Isabeli Fontana continues to work in the international fashion industry. She lives in Brazil with two sons (Lucas and Zion) and her husband Henri Castelli. She was previously briefly married to model Alvaro Jacomossi with whom she lived in New York City until 2002.
