Ines Sastre is a model and actress. Starting her career at a young age on a McDonald's commercial, she went on to appear in many film roles. She has mostly appeared in Spanish and Italian films.
Ines Sastre was born in Valladolid, Spain in the year 1973. Her birthday is the 21st of November. When she was 12, Ines Sastre appeared in a McDonald's commercial in her first onscreen work. From this she was cast to play one of the leading roles in the 1988 Spanish film "El Dorado". Ines Sastre also found much modeling work during this period, receiving honors such as the "look of the year" award from the Elite Model Agency in 1989. Despite taking several years off from fashion modeling during her early twenties to pursue her college education, Ines Sastre would go on continue working successfully in fashion during the mid to late nineties, winning Prix de la Mode in the 1997 Paris Fashion Awards. She also became the spokes model for the perfume Tresor, after Isabella Rossellini.
At the Sorbonne in Paris, Ines Sastre learned to speak French, Italian and English fluently, in addition to her native Spanish. After some early success in Italian cinema with an appearance in the 1997 film "Il testimone dello sposo (The Best Man)", she went on to become a celebrity in Italy after appearing as a presenter at the major Italian music festival, "Festival di Sanremo". She has appeared in numerous Italian films, including "Volpone" and "Io No". Most recently she has appeared in the 2007 film "La cena per farli conoscere".
As of early 2007 Ines Sastre continues to work in television and film acting roles, however it is possible that she will slow her career as she has recently (in late 2006) given birth to her first child.
