Biography
Hugh Grant is a Golden Globe winning British actor. He is best known for his roles in Four Weddings and a Funeral, Notting Hill and the Bridget Jones' movies.

Hugh Grant was born in Hammersmith, London, England on September 9, 1960. He attended Wetherby School, Latymer Upper School and New College, Oxford. After attending Oxford, he began post-graduate studies at the Courtauld Institute. He was to study art history, but turned down the opportunity to focus on acting.
Hugh Grant got his first break in 1982 when he appeared in Privileged, and in 1985 won a leading role in the film Maurice. He won the Best Actor award at the Venice Film Festival for the role; the final tally showed a tie between Grant and co-star James Wilby. Next came roles in Lair of the White Worm, Impromptu and in 1993 starred in The Remains of the Day.
In 1994, Hugh Grant's breakthrough role came in the form of Four Weddings and a Funeral. In 1995, a string of blockbuster hits began, including An Awfully Big Adventure, Nine Months, Sense and Sensibility and Restoration. In 1996, Hugh Grant stretched his acting wings with a role in the thriller Extreme Measures. 1999 was also a good year for Grant, with a role in Notting Hill.
In 2001, he starred in Bridget Jones's Diary and in 2002, appeared in films About A Boy and Two Weeks Notice. In 2003, he appeared in Love, Actually and in 2004, the sequel Bridget Jones: The Edge of Reason. The satiric American Dreamz was a 2006 hit, and in 2007, he starred in Music and Lyrics. He is currently in talks to star in several more films.
Huge Grant and Elizabeth Hurley were a romantic item for several years before separating in 2000. The two survived a 1995 scandal in which Grant was arrested for indecent conduct with prostitute Divine Brown. After breaking things off with Elizabeth Hurley, Hugh Grant was linked with socialite Jemima Khan. The two separated in 2007.
