Hrithik Roshan was born in Mumbai, India on January 10, 1974. His father is actor/director Rakesh Roshan and his uncle in music director Rajesh Roshan. He is married to his high school sweetheart, Sussanne Khan. They have a son who was born in 2006.
In 1980, Hrithik Roshan landed his first film role in Aasha; he was six years of age. He appeared in several more films as a child, but made his leading man debut in the 2000 film Kaho Naa. . .Pyaar Hai. The movie was directed by his father has won more awards than any other Bollywood film at 102. It was the highest grossing 2000 film and won the Filmfare Best Movie, Filmfar Best Debut and Filmfare Best Actor awards. That year he also starred in Fiza and Mission Kashmir.
