Holly Valance is an Australian singer and actress who is best known for the single "Kiss, Kiss", which was released in 2002.
Holly Valance, born Holly Rachel Vukadinovic, was born in Australia on May 11, 1983. She attended a Roman Catholic high school in Melbourne, Australia before attending Star of the Sea College. Holly is a distant relative of the late Benny Hill, a British comedian.
Holly Valance released her first single, "Kiss, Kiss" in 2002; it was a cover of Turkish superstar Tarkan's "Simarik". The album, Footprints was released in October of the same year. The single debuted at number one on the Australian ARIA and UK Singles charts. The single was nominated for four ARIA awards. The second single "Down Boy" peaked at number two in the U.K. and number three in Australia. The album as a whole peaked at number nine in the U.K. and number fifteen in Australia.
Her second album, State of Mind, peaked at number eight in the U.K. and number fourteen in Australia when it was released in 2003. Soon after Holly Valance signed a $3 million deal with Schwarzkopf Live, a hair products company, aimed at the teen and 20s demographic. She also contributed to Har Mar Superstar's The Handler.
In addition to music, Holly Valance is a talented actress who received her television break in 1999 when she won a role on the Australian soap opera Neighbours. He appeared on the show until 2002.
