Biography
Henry Cavill is a British actor who is best known for his role in The Count of Monte Cristo.
Henry Cavill was born in Jersey, England on May 5, 1983. He attended St. Michael's Preparatory School, then Stowe School where he developed an interest in acting. His breakout role cam in 2002s The Count of Monte Cristo. He followed that role with a part in the 2003 film I Capture the Castle and an experimental musical comedy in 2004. In 2005 he appeared in Hellraiser: Hellworld and in 2006 starred in the film version of Tristan & Isolde.
Though young by leading man standards, he has been considered for leading man roles, including those of films Batman Begins and Casino Royale. Those roles ultimately went to older actors, however, he did make the final round of auditions before being passed over. However, the future is bright for Henry Cavill.
In 2007 he landed a part in Showtime's The Tudors, a television series and he will appear in the fantasy film Stardust.
He has been optioned for an MTV Films movie called Twilight, based on the Stephanie Meyer novel. The film is set for release in 2008 and if he gets the part, Henry Cavill will play a vampire who falls in love with a human girl.
