Biography
Heinz-Harald Frentzen is a German race car driver who is famous for his exploits in Formula One driving.

Heinz-Harald Frentzen was born in Monchengladback, North Rhine-Westphalia in Germany on May 18, 1967. He showed an early interest in racing and began participating in karting races at 13. In 1986, when he was 18, he entered the German Formula Ford 2000 Series with his father's support. After only two seasons, Heinz-Harald Frentzen became the runner up in the 1987 series even though he didn't take part in all of the races. In 1988 he joined the German Formula Opel Lotus as a member of the Junior Team of driver Jochen Mass. His first year he became the champion of the series, he also participated and ranked sixth in the Formula Opel Lotus Euroseries.

In 1989 he participated in the German Formula 3 Championship; he continued in these races for five more years. In 1994, he was given a Formula One car, a Mercedes and in 1995 he ended the year in ninth place in the Drivers Championship. 1996 and 1997 were disappointing years for Heinz-Harald Frentzen because of car issues and problems with his race team. He switched to the Jordan team in 1999 and had the best season of his career with two race wins including the French Grand Prix. He finished 1999 third in the Driver Championship. He retired from Formula 1 racing in 2003.

2004 saw Heinz-Harald Frentzen make another switch, this time to the saloon car series, however his ride was not competitive enough and he finished fourteenth in the standings. In 2005, he finished eighth and in 2006 he joined the Audi team. The end of the season saw his rank slip to seventh and he quit the team.
