Heather Graham is an actress who is best known for her role in Austin Powers: The Spy Who Shagged Me.
Heather Graham was born in Milwaukee, Wisconsin on January 29, 1970. Her family moved often because of her father's job with the FBI. The family spent several years in Virginia before moving to Los Angeles. She graduated from Agoura High School in Los Angeles in 1988. Heather Graham has been a practitioner of transcendental meditation since 1991 and is a Hindu convert.
She played a small part in the 1989 film Drugstore Cowboy, but her first big role was in the American television series Twin Peaks. In 1992 she was cast in the film Diggstown. Several film roles followed but the 1997 film Boogie Nights propelled her to stardom. She followed up that role with a part in Austin Powers: The Spy Who Shagged Me and later that year starred in the Lenny Kravitz video for "American Woman". In addition to mainstream movie roles, she has appeared in independent films like The Guru and Killing Me Softly. In 2006 she co-starred in the film Bobby and a 2007 release is planned for her film Gray Matters.
In 2005 she became the spokeswoman for Garnier hair care products. On television, Heather Graham has played herself on Sex and the City and also guest starred in several episodes of the television series Scrubs and Arrested Development. Her 2006 television series Emily's Reasons Why Not was cancelled after only one airing.
