Biography
Hanson is a pop band formed by brother Isaac, Taylor and Zac in Oklahoma in the mid-1990's. They are best known for hit singles "MmmBop".

The musical Hanson brothers began their musical interests by playing the piano. Isaac and Taylor were first to want to form a band, but they needed a third member and invited younger brother Zac to join them. They began by singing a cappella and in 1992 landed their first gig, playing at the Mayfest Arts Festival in Tulsa, Oklahoma. Soon after, the boys appeared on Carman's Yo! Kidz: The Vidz. In addition to singing, the boys got to use their acting chops, playing characters such as the Biblical David, and secular characters like event announcers and cheering fans. In their band, Isaac played guitar, Taylor played keyboards and Zac played drums. The trio released to independent albums and in 1996 released MMMBop, their single of the same name became a hit in 1997 and led them to the South by Southwest music festival in Austin, Texas. There, they were signed by Mercury Records and their first major-label album was released. Middle of Nowhere became a world-wide hit.

Subsequent releases, including the 2000 release of This Time Around were not as successful as their first release and Hanson left their record label. The trio now work under their own label 3CG Records and have continued to release music, but have not been able to recapture the fire that surrounded MMMBop. Their 2004 release, Underneath, debuted at number one on the independent album top 200 list. In 2005, the sang the National Anthem at the opening of the NASCAR Busch Series race in Mexico City and later that year began touring in Canada, South America and Europe. In July 2006, they recorded an iTunes-only release with a South African choir, with proceeds going to AIDS research.

2007 will see the band begin releasing a series of documentary style podcasts. And their second independent album from their 3CG Records label will be released later this year.
