Hannah Spearritt is an English actress and singer who is best known as a member of the pop music group S Club 7.
Hannah Spearritt was born in Gorleston, Norfolk, England on April 1, 1981. When she was three she got her first job as a model for the Mothercare catalogue. At the age of 12 she won her first acting role in the Great Yarmouth Amateur Dramatic and Operatic Society's Annie. Soon after she auditioned for and won a spot with the National Youth Music Theatre. While with the NYMT, she appeared in productions of Pendragon, Tin Pan Ali and the West End production of Bugsy Malone.
Hannah Spearritt won her first television role in the film The Cater Street Hangman. She also appeared on the National Lottery show and in Blue Peter. While still in school at Great Yarmouth, she auditioned for and landed a gig with S Club 7.
From 1998 to 2003, Hannah Spearrit was a member of pop group S Club 7 and developed a huge following. The group had four number one hit singles in the U.K. and one number one hit in the U.S. They also developed their own television series Miami 7, LA 7, Hollywood 7 and Viva S Club. As part of the group, Hannah Spearritt won two Brit Awards and was a regular in the FHM Top 100 Sexiest Women from 2000 to 2004. S Club released their first movie in 2003, the group split up later that year.
Post S Club, Hannah has won roles in movies such as Agent Cody Banks 2: Destination London and in 2004 she won a role in the Seed of Chucky horror flick. She took a break from acting after that role, but in 2005 returned to acting with a role in BBC's Blessed, an eight part sitcom. She also appeared in Snow! The Musical at London's Sound Theatre. The show was cancelled after two weeks.
2006 brought better news, included a role in the ITV series Primeval. The series began airing in February 2007. She is also filming the movie At Bertram's Hotel, part of the Marple mystery series. She will appear in an episode of Poirot later this year and is also working on an independent film.
