Biography
Guy Pearce is an English born Australian actor, who is probably best known for his role as a drag queen in Priscilla, Queen of the Desert.

Guy Pearce was born on October 5, 1967 in Ely, England. His family moved to Geelong, Australia when he was 3 years old. At an early age, Guy Pearce showed a talent for mimicking accents and began to show an interest in acting. As a school boy, he starred in several plays and also showed promise as an amateur bodybuilder. He won the Mr. Natural Victoria contest, but acting called him to other areas and in 1985 Guy Pearce was cast in the Australian soap opera television show Neighbours. He played the role of Mike Young on the soap opera before moving on to star in television shows such as Home and Away and Snowy River: The MacGregor Saga.

After television, Guy Pearce began to audition for movie roles. His breakthrough film was 1994's Priscilla, Queen of the Desert, in which he played a drag queen. Since that film, Guy Pearce has appeared in many U.S. films as well as Aussie productions. Those films include L.A. Confidential, Rules of Engagement, Memento and The Time Machine among others. In addition to American films, Guy Pearce remains active in his home country of Australia, appearing in Australian plays and acting in film roles like The Hard Wood and The Proposition. In 2006, he appeared as Andy Warhol in Factory Girl. Guy Pearce's portrayal of the artist was the bright spot in an otherwise panned film. In addition to film and television roles, Guy Pearce has appeared in music videos.

Guy Pearce currently lives in Melbourne, Australia where he works on films. He is also a huge fan of Australian Football and the Geelong Football Club.
