Vogue cover girl Georgina Grenville is an elitist.
An Elite Look of the Year winner, that is.
At only 14, Grenville was destined for fame and fortune as judges decided she was the winner of the 1990 South African Elite Look of the Year contest.
From there she went on to start a conservative modeling career, only to do a brief term in Milan in the industry.
She was then to wait a few years before moving to New York and signing up with the agency that literally put her face on the map Next.
Following in the footsteps of other great models, Grenville tried acting and made a guest appearance on the British comedy Absolutely Fabulous. She also appeared in the film 54, a drama about the famous 1970s nightclub Studio 54.
Besides walking some of the best catwalks in the world, Grenville has appeared in several top fashion magazines and a Pirelli calendar.
Sources say she has two tattoos, one around her navel, that reflect her Shangri-La outlook on life.
