Donna Air is a singer, actress, and presenter on English television. Air got her big breat as an actress on the BBC show Byker Grove. In fact, Air was part of a bank called Byker Groove that was spun off from the popular show. This all female band didn't gain much fame during its time.

Air has also been involved in several other television shows. She was in an episode of the BBC comedy series Operation Good Guys and has been a presenter on several different BBC shows, including Big Breakfast, and she's presented on MTV. Air also had a small role in the movie The Mummy Returns.

After the band Byker Groove disbanded, Air and fellow Groove member Jayni Hoy formed Crush, and the duo were signed to Telstar Records. However, Hoy quit after the first album, which was never released in the UK but did see an overseas release. Luciana Caporaso joined Air as Hoy's replacement, and the two released one other album, entitled Crush, that featured mostly dance remixes of songs on their first album.

While she is certainly not unintelligent, Air has often been mocked as the stereotypical dumb blonde. This image wasn't helped when, on television, she asked the Irish family group The Corrs how the members originally met. Air does have a sense of humor about this, though, and has named her production company Airhead Productions as a way of laughing at herself.

Air was born in Newcastle upon Tyne on August 2, 1979 and attended Gosforth High School and drama school. She was close friends with Jill Halfpenny and Dale Meeks and the duo Ant and Dec, which was also a spin-off band from Byker Grove. Air is currently engaged to Damien Aspinal, the millionaire owner of Aspers, a huge entertainment conglomerate. As of 2007, Air's most recent work is the independent movie Runners With Cars.
