Biography
Dominique Van Hulst is better known as Do, a popular singer from Valkenswaard, Netherlands. She mainly sings pop, contemporary, and dance music. Do became known around the world with her top ten hit "Heaven," a remake of the hit by Bryan Adams. Do has won numerous musical awards, including "Best New Act" and "Best Dutch Female Artist" from the TMF Awards Holland.

Do was born on September 7, 1981, in the small town of Valkenswaard, which is in southern Netherlands. While she sang as a child and young adult, she never really considered the a career as a singer. Instead, Do focused on her tennis career. She was a gifted player, and at fifteen, she began preparing to complete in Wimbledon. However, she had give up the sport due to injuries. She then began singing more often, and after performing at a café ©n Valkenswaard, she was approached by Sony BMG and signed to the label.

Before releasing her first single, Do was a supporting act on 5ive and Montell Jordan's Holland tour. After touring, she released "Real Good," her first single that, despite getting god air time on TMF, the Dutch music channel, did not do well. After this failure, Do joined forces with DJ Sammy and Yanou, her producer, to do a cover of the 80's hit "Heaven." This remix became an international hit and rocketed to number one in several countries around the world. Suddenly, Do was an international sensation. She later did a candlelight remix of the song. Another remix of "Heaven", one made to commemorate the September 11, 2001 terrorist attacks, was not created by Do.

Do was not originally credited as the singer of the "Heaven" remix. Instead, DJ Sammy was often listed with the song on numerous play lists, which led people to mistake Do for DJ Sammy. Eventually, the error was corrected on CDs and now Do is listed as providing vocals while DJ Sammy and Yanou are credited with the music.

Do currently has two albums: "Do" and "Follow Me." Both albums have made the top ten on several charts and several singles have made it to number one. Do has also toured, and her most recent tour in 2006 was sold out
