David Copperfield was born on September 16, 1956 in New Jersey. His parents were Jewish immigrants from Ukraine. He is known for his great magic and illusions. He has done things like making the Statue of Liberty disappear. He has been seen flying or levitating off the ground. He has been seen flying over the Grand Canyon. He has been seen walking through the Great Wall of China. David Copperfield is reported to be the tenth highest paid celebrity in the world according to Forbes Magazine. He was reported to have earned 57 million dollars in 2003 alone. Estimates state that he earned another 57 million dollars in 2004 and another 57 million dollars in 2005. Now, that is what you call magic! David Copperfield started doing magic when he was twelve years old and is actually the youngest person that has been admitted to the Society of American Magicians. When David was 16, he was already teaching magic at the New York University. When David was 18, he enrolled himself at Fordham University. He ended up being cast as Magic Man in the Chicago based musical on his freshman year. By 19 years old, David Copperfield was already headlining at the Pagoda Hotel in Hawaii. Aside from these magic tricks, David Copperfield has done a lot of other things. He played Ken the magician in Terror Train, a horror film that was released in the eighties.
