Daveigh Chase was born on July 24, 1990 in the city of Las Vegas, Nevada to her mother Cathy Chase and her father John Schwallier. Her mother and her father are already divorced. She is an only child and she lives with her mother Cathy Chase. Daveigh's best friend is Dakota Fanning, another child star that is making it big today. Daveigh is an actress, singer, and voice over talent artist. She has been performing ever since she was a kid. This is how child stars are born. She began dancing and singing at a very early age. Her inspirations while she was growing up were Barney and Friends. While she was watching the Barney and Friends television shows, she always wanted to be one of the kids in the shows. When she was four years old, she told her mom that she wanted to be one of the kids on Barney. When her mother heard this, she entered her into a Little Miss America Pageant. She won the national vocal competition. She caught the attention of agents and by the age of 7, she was already cast in the commercial of Campbell's soup. Not even in her teens, by the age of 12, she already beat Mike Myers, Collin Farrel, Willem Dafoe, and Daniel Day Lewis at the 2003 MTV Movie Awards. She won the award for best villain for her performance as Samara in "The Ring." During the Academy Awards in 2003, the animated feature films that Daveigh did voice over work were nominated. Disney's Lilo and Stitch and Miyazaki's Spirited Away were nominated for the Best Animated Feature Film. Spirited Away actually won. Right now, Daveigh is already standing five foot and nine inches. She can still grow another two or three inches before she reaches the age of eighteen.
