Dane Jeffrey Cook, professional as actor, director, writer, producer and comedian, born in Boston, Massachusetts, USA on 18 March, 1972. Graduated from Arlington High School in Arlington, Massachusetts. His father George Cook was a former radio personality. Dane acclaimed grand fame for his first comedy album, Harmful If swallowed (2003).
Since 1997 Dane worked in 17 films till now. He used to perform before sold out packed event such as Carnegie Hall and The University of Florida football stadium. Currently Cook is starring in Tourgasm, a comedy documentary series on HBO. His recent success was release of his sophomore CDX2/DVD, Retaliation, which was listed #4 on the Billboard 200, and was said to be the highest-charting comedian in 25 years. Cook has also lent his voice to Crank Yankers and Shorties Watchin' Shorties. Cook brought up sum of $25,000 from his own savings and retirement and come up with his own website www.danecook.com for the further achievement of his career and to stay connected with his fans. Number of fans listed to his site was more than 1.6 million on his profile, he was thus become one of the first celebrities who make use of the global networking site Myspace. Cook also hosted for Saturday Night Live twice. He was rated best on the box office with his debut film as a lead in Employee of the Month in 2006 along with co-stars Jessica Simpson and Dax Shepard; movie did not do well but was acceptable.
