Daniel Constantine Marino Jr. famously known as Dan Marino was born on September 15, 1961 in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, USA. He was born to Italian and Polish parents. Dan Marino studied in Elementary School and then Pittsburgh Central Catholic High School where he use to play basketball and football and also won Parade All American honors in football. After playing successfully in high school he continued to play very well in college ball at the University of Pittsburgh for the season 1979 to 1982. He made his name in the sports history of Pittsburgh during his college.
He was chosen by Miami Dolphins in NFL draft. He had ups and down in his career but he was one of the great quarterback which can be seen in the legendary Quarterback class of 1983 where he held the NFL passing record and is known widely as the greatest quarterbacks in American football history. During his professional career with Miami Dolphins spanning from 1983 to 1999 he was selected nine times out of which he played seven times as a starter in Pro Bowls ( 1983-87, 1991-92, 1994-95 ).The Sporting News' list of 100 Greatest Football Players had Marino on 27th rank. He has numerous records to his credit Dan Marino had a very powerful arm and his release was very quick which was one of his great skill. He was a great player of the game who is among the Hall of Fame quarterbacks but due to injuries his great career started to decline so he decided to retire before 2000 season.
