Daniel Lewis Majerle, an American former professional basketball player, an NBA All-Star playing for Phoenix Suns who grown up from a player who jumped on the move to the basket to one of the league's premiere three-point shooter. He completed Physical Education at Central Michigan. He was nicknamed "Thunder" for his rugged play and three-point marksmanship.
Dan Maherle was born in September 9, 1965, Traverse City, Michigan, Dan played college ball at Central Michigan until 1988. Thereafter, he was selected by the Phoenix Suns in 1988 NBA Draft. His unbound performance and his attitude of commitment toward his team is a tribute to his all-around athletic ability, and his competitive sentiments were crucial to the success of Phoenix Suns in the early 1990's. He played with Miami Heat and Cleveland Cavaliers. Majerle was inducted into the Suns, "Ring of Honor" on March 9, 2003. He had a great outside shot along with his excellent defensive skills. He has set an example of work ethic to the Suns in his final season in the NBA.
During his career, he was elected for the All-Star team three times, in which he did not even start for his own team. In addition, he was elected for the 1994 Dream Team, a team that dominated the 1994 World Championships.
