Cuba Gooding Jr. Was born in The Bronx, New York, on 2nd January 1968. His father Cuba Gooding Sr. was singer for a group called The Main Ingredient. Cuba Gooding Jr. was raised by his mother, after his father abandoned the family, mostly living in hotels.
Cuba Gooding attended four different schools. However, this father has remarried his mother some years ago.
Personal Life of Cuba Gooding Jr.:
Cuba Gooding jr. married his long time girlfriend Sara Kapfer, in 1994, he has known her since 1986. Both now have three sons whose names are Spencer, Mason and Piper.
Career of Cuba Gooding Jr.:
Cuba Gooding Jr. started his career with small roles like appearing as a customer in a Eddie Murphy movie. He also was part of a commercial for a clothing line. His first major role was in the movie Boyz N The Hood. The movie earned good reviews. The movie which won him the Oscar was Jerry Maguire, here he earned the Best Supporting Actor Oscar.
He has also acted in another blockbuster movie Pearl Harbor. The movie 'A Murder of Crows' gained huge popularity among people who like murder mystery. There were another box office successes like 'Men of Honor', 'Snow Dogs' etc.
His latest releases were crime drama 'Dirty' the movie was not released on a large scale. There is another latest release in which Cuba Gooding Jr. plays the role of a Secret Service agent, called 'Endgame'.
He has also acted in some comedy movies which did not go well with the audiences. People have criticized for his roles in these movies. Cuba Gooding Jr. however, defends himself by saying that he thought people wanted him to make them laugh, and has therefore decided not to do comedy anymore. Instead he is going to be on the lookout for better roles in movies.
