Cristiano Ronaldo, complete name is, Cristiano Ronaldo dos Santos Aveiro, was born on 5th February 1985. Cristiano Ronaldo is a Portuguese footballer, he was born in Funchal, Madeira, Portugal.

Personal Life of Cristiano Ronaldo

Cristiano Ronaldo has been known to keep his personal life under wraps. He has been linked with a Portuguese anchor-woman called Merche Romero, Jordana Jardel, Gemma Atkinson, however, he has denied some of his relationships and has chosen not to comment on the other ones.

He is known for his charity for the tsunami victims, he also auctioned his sports gear to raise funds for these victims.

Career of Cristiano Ronaldo

Cristiano was playing football at the age of three. And he joined his school team at the age of six. At the age of ten his fame was rising throughout Portugal and he happened to sign Nacional, one of Madeira's top teams. Later another football club Sporting signed him after taking his trial only for three days.

He was also spotted by the Liverpool manager, however Liverpool declined accepting him in the team since he was only sixteen and needed time to develop as a footballer.
He has signed a deal with Manchester United till 2010.

Ronaldo has more than 1000 goals to his credit till date. He was won the award of FIFPro Special Young Player of the Year in 2005. He was also awarded the Barclays Player of the Month Award. His current target this season happens to be 15 goals. This he might be able to achieve because of his ability to pass the ball properly.

He is a very dedicated player; he played a match only hours after he received the news of death of this father Dinis Aveiro. Though he had a controversial World Cup, he remain popular with his fans and his club Manchester United have not shown any intention of giving him off to any other football club, though there were speculations about this in past.
