Biography
Criss Angel was born on 19th December, 1967, in New York, in a suburb called East Meadow. Complete name of Criss Angel is Christopher Sarantakos. Criss Angel has several subjects of expertise, some of them being mentalist, magician, Yoga performer, stunt performer, musician, etc.
Career of Criss Angel
The first debut for Criss Angel was as a magician on ABC Channel special. Later he also created a theme for Halloween as 'Criss Angel: World of Illusion'. Later he started his own television series called 'Criss Angel Mindfreak' on the ABC Family channel. He has also appeared in different television serials since then as special appearance.
His show 'Criss Angel Mindfreak' is currently being filmed for the second season. The show is about magic and illusions. Some of his tricks have been like walking on water, cutting self into half, floating between two buildings. He also had several well known persons as guests on his show.
However, some of the tricks have not gone down well with the audiences. The audience feels that he does his magic and tricks with the help of camera and is not a real time magician. Criss Angle, however claims that he has done all the tricks through concentration and the help of meditation.
He has also made a DVD in which he explains how he has been able to achieve the tricks he shows in his television show. In order to fight the criticism Criss Angel has also introduced a new system of filming with the audiences, he allows anyone in the audience to hold the camera and shoot what is going on stage from his angle. However, this too has failed to impress people.
At present Criss Angel is writing a book entitles 'Mindfreak: Secret Revelations from the Master of Surreality'. Criss Angel has also been noted saying which making a guest appearance on a TV serial 'If its real, its not magic'.
