Conor Oberst was born on 15th February 1980 in Omaha Nebraska. His parents were Matthew Oberst Sr., father a manager with the Omaha Mutual and mother Nancy Oberst was a school principal. He has two siblings Justin Oberst who is a lawyer and Matthew Oberst Jr., who also happens to be a musician. Conor Oberst is currently not married and is not known to date anyone particular. Another information about Conor Oberst is that he is a vegetarian.

Career of Conor Oberst

Nancy Oberst claimed that Conor Oberst was singing and playing with the piano since the age of 2. However, Conor Oberst started his career at the age of 13. He was invited by ill Hoover who asked Conor Oberst to bring in his set of songs and perform them, for which he presented enough songs and was therefore the band hired him as a performer and a songwriter.

Conor Oberst has his own record company called the Saddle Creek, which was initially known as Lumberjack Records. He formed a group called Commander Venus in the year 1995 with Tim Kasher, Robb Nansel, Todd Fink.

Conor Oberst is also involved with another band called the Bright Eyes, the band has been included on the TV Late night show The Tonight Show with Jay Leno, where he performed song called 'When the President Talks to God' which hinted at the present political scene.

This band is about to release its new album Four Winds EP and Cassadaga. Conor Oberst also worked as a guitarist with the band Desaparecidos.

The record company Saddle Creek owned by Conor Oberst, hosts a lot of other bands like the Bright Eyes, The Faint, The Good Life, Sorry About Dresden, etc. Conor Oberst also founded another record company called Team Love so that he could release those albums that were not accepted by anyone.
