Biography
When the film Meet Joe Black opened in cinemas on 1998, moviegoers who saw the film wondered who the dark beauty is that appeared as Anthony Hopkins' daughter and grim reaper Brad Pitt's love interest. The year 1998 was the year that saw Claire Forlani, the dark beauty of Meet Joe Black entered the A-list of Hollywood's stars.

Claire Forlani is a British actress, born in Twickenham, London to an Italian father and an English mother on July 1, 1972. She started her training in acting early, enrolling in the Arts Education School of London at the age of 11. In the six years that she stayed there, she studied not just acting but dance as well. Her earliest performances were in productions of The Nutcracker and Orpheus in the Underworld.

In 1993, the Forlanis moved to San Francisco so Claire could land acting roles in Hollywood. On the following year, she joined the cast of Police Academy: Mission to Moscow. After that is a supporting role in the cult classic Mallrats (1995) and another supporting part in the action hit The Rock (1996), where she played Sean Connery's estranged daughter. The following year saw Claire Forlani in the Ben Stiller comedy Mystery Men and in Meet Joe Black, her most successful film financially to date. Another hit that starred Claire Forlani is Boys and Girls, a chick flick that she did with Freddie Prinze, Jr. The next two films she appeared in, however, namely Antitrust (2001) and The Medallion (2003), the latter a film she did with Jackie Chan, are not as successful.

Claire Forlani was named the new face of L'Oreal on 2001. Currently, Claire Forlani can be seen occasionally in CSI: New York, where she plays the medical examiner Dr. Peyton Driscoll. She joined the program's cast in 2006.
