As a student, he excelled both academically and in sports, being an avid player of soccer, baseball, hockey and tennis. He discovered a passion for acting at the age of nine, when he joined the cast of a play staged in his school, The Yeomen of the Guard. Christopher Reeve actively pursued this passion, even enrolling in Cornell University so he could be near to New York City and pursue a career in the theater.
In 1973, Christopher Reeve was accepted at the prestigious Julliard School, the leading performance arts school in the entire world.
